Break Free is a lovely piece with long flowing lines that extent out from the base form. It has a strong presence, and the open space is very dynamic. I'm proud of Break Free and think it is one of my finest works.

It was designed and built for Clodagh Designs for installation in the mailroom of the Jackson Ave residential in Queens, NY. Clodagh choose the orange color and I think it looks great.

The Freddie Mercury movie came out while I was building the sculpture and my family and I, who have always been big Queen fans, loved it. I thought the name of the song was a good name for the sculpture.

She later commissioned me to make another one slightly smaller for a Washington DC residencial. See the last image above.
