Stoic is made from lumber that was removed from our local public library. One day I saw a large pile of very old cut lumbers lying in the woods behind the library. They must have been milled specific for the construction of the library. They varied in dimensions from about 2"x6" to 3"x8". I thought they were very beautiful and know I could make something nice with them. I asked permission and trucked them to my studio.

I made this piece and I also made Falcon using this wood. I left this piece natural wood which is silvery colored. I like the rustic look of it.

Sebastian has been reading a lot of stoicism and he named this piece, and I thought it very fitting.
